Cinnamon Star Ornament

The cinnamon stick star ornament not only looks great, but will fill your home with a wonderful aroma. For younger children, this project can be a team effort. Kids can carefully string the wire through the cinnamon sticks and bend to make the star and pentagon shape; adults can cut and twist the wire together.

Makes 1 ornament.

1. Choose 10 cinnamon sticks of the same length and thickness. Thread a 40-inch long wire through each in a continuous line. Bend to form the outer 5 star points so that the last stick is joined to the first stick at an inner angle. Twist the wire.

2. Cut 5 shorter cinnamon sticks to fit the inner pentagon. Thread each stick into place twisting the wire around each intersection. Cut off excess wire and it's ready for your Christmas tree.
